Machu Picchu - Classic Image

The classic Machu Picchu image. The mountain behind the ruins is Huayna Picchu. The site is named after Machu Picchu, which is behind the camera in this image. There's actually sunlight on the site in this picture - that didn't happen too much while we were there. I took this while waiting for all my friends that hiked the Inca Trail to go check in at the site. I had to turn back before lunch the first day because I was getting over a really bad cold and didn't have the aerobic capacity to climb the hills. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who likes the outdoors and a little bit of adventure. You can take the train from Cuzco to Aguas Calientes and the bus up to the site if you don't want to hike around the mountains.
